There is a seperate motor in the head which drives the 13″ brush roll at different desired suction levels and 5 different height level settings. With the adjustable height functions and abilitiy to turn off the spinning brush roll, this power head can take you from smooth hard flooring all the way through carpeting. A headlight and superior maneuverability funtions make this the ultimate cleaning tool in the light or dark. This powerhead has automatic shut off when encountering brush roll blockage to prevent damage to the power head and vacuum.
